I went to a show in Baton Rouge this weekend and there were some nice vehicles there. My two favorites were a red S2k and a white NSX.

Something horrible happened at the show though. A PT Cruiser got Best of Show. A PT Cruiser with cardboard cutouts of a Mortal Kombat character next to it and a drink cooler in front of it no less. I don’t have any pictures from the show, but I did scrape some from the owner’s Facebook page.

See a friend of mine puts on this show and it’s always been in a parking garage. In fact, it is Louisiana’s only parking garage show. I haven’t gone in a couple years because the last time I went, a STOCK MOTHERFUCKING RENTED GTR got Best of Show. I decided to give it another shot. Never again.

I guess a few years ago when the completely stock GTR that was rented from Enterprise won, they decided to go full-on ridiculous.

It really is. Like with all the work put into that, they could do something productive. But nope, shitty PT Cruiser.

In a couple of the pictures you can see a silver Mustang with random pink trim. That is the guy’s wife. I fear for the future of that Mustang.

seriously, this won best in show at any car show? This is the car you make fun of when you see it at a stoplight, this is not supposed to win any price.
It’s not even heavily modified, all they did is slap on some Bentley style grille and put it on gaudy chrome wheels. The airbrush - albeit being seemingly well done - is horrible. I guess the owner wore this shirt - non ironically - at some point in his life:

Back when I had my Gen Coupe I used to see this guy always around the Savannah area. This is a PT Cruiser with a Rhino theme to it. He would go to every car show at a fair or festival. The windshield sunvisor always looked extremely odd to me.

In two years that mustang won’t be identifiable. It’s already started with the wheels and mirrors. And any car person knows you never get your money back from mods, but at least mod a car you can get something back.

My thoughts exactly. He would actually try to play with us on empty roads. It was so slow, and he was always hauling ass everywhere. I saw him pulled over a few times.

Was it paint or vinyl? I’m impressed. I mean it’s garbage and I’m horrified, but it’s impressive. Makes for a very interesting looking HHR.
